Yet, going behind the scenes, Hamish soon finds a town full of locals bitten by the movie bug and a cast of quarreling show business types, all harboring their own secrets, lies, and hidden agendas. And as the culprit strikes again, Macbeth must quickly find the right killer - or script the wrong finale to a show gone murderously awry.

Good plot and characters

Good plot and characters. but the other narrator, Graeme Malcolm is a much better narrator than this one, Shaun Grindell. He does Hamish with a high pitched, kind of childlike voice which just doesn't fit the character.

Pretty Good

I enjoyed the story. The narrator’s style did not suit my preference. Particularly, I found his portrayal MacBeth with a high, sing-song voice was rather distracting. I did enjoyed the audiobook and would listen to it again.

Death of a Scriptwriter

I like the simplicity and ease with. Which the reader portrays the characters. Although the story is somewhat predictable, I love to hear about the different characters of Lochduh, the things they get up to, and the predicaments of Hammish MacBeth.

Hamish Macbeth is my favorite cop

The atmosphere is “great” and the unambitious Hamish is an enchanting figure. But northern Scotland is not a welcoming destination
