From a New York Times bestselling author, Sergeant Hamish Macbeth faces a string of mysterious robberies that are only the beginning of an international threat to his sleepy Scottish village of Lochdubh.

Sergeant Hamish Macbeth is worried about how the folks will react to his new assistant officer; the enigmatic American James Bland, whose true mission is to track down the members of a Russian spy network. In the meantime, he and Bland deal with it the usual crop of traffic incidents, lost wallets, lost dogs, and lost people, but a spate of burglaries committed by a man dubbed “Spiderman” give Hamish cause for serious concern.

Hamish has to use all of his contacts and every ounce of his Highland guile to find the robber and protect the village.

I want to be fair and say that Mr. Monteath might be a good narrator but not for Hamish’s books. I hope Malcolm will comeback for the next book.

Another great story but where is Graemer Malcolm? ;(

This is another excellent Hamish Macbeth mystery with all our favorite character involved even if fleetingly. I thoroughly enjoyed the intrigue and the two distinct story lines were wrapped up satisfactorily. I enjoyed the new narrator, he did a fine job. Looking forward to the next Hamish novel!

Great Story!

The lively plot kept me interested, with travel all over the place, and a lot of different characters. The narrator for this one was fantastic, doing all the different voices and accents, male and female (need to work on that American accent just a little more). Overall, this was a good one in the Hamish Macbeth series, and I’ve read over 30 of them on Audible.

Good plot and great narration

I don't care for this narrator; his Hamish often sounds wimpy and his American accent is a parody of John Wayne.

As always, easy listen and fun.
