When the chef actually does suffer a mild heart attack, he ends up sharing a hospital room with Hayley's brother, Randy, who's there for gall bladder surgery. Chef Romeo has tasted Hayley's cooking and asks her to take over his restaurant while he's laid up. But this temporary gig may turn permanent, after the chef dies from complications. Only thing is, Randy tells a different story. He might have been sedated, but Hayley's bro swears he saw someone come into their room and put Romeo out of his misery. Now it's up to Hayley to find the person who had no reservations about killing the chef....

excellent book!

I really enjoyed this book! I listened twice!
The narrator puts her entire being into what she is reading! she really makes the the story come to life!

love these books. great character development. you feel as tho they are friends and/or enemies!

Too much filler

Love the style of writing, but not enough story… too many vignettes from the past, newspaper columns and recipes. Stick to telling a tale. Good characters to work with. Lazy using so much filler.

Fun cozy mystery with Italian themed recipes

A fun cozy mystery with Italian themed recipes included! A continuation of the Hayley Powell food and cocktails mystery series. All of the books are standalone. This is a fun, light read, not a literary masterpiece, but since it met my expectations as a lighthearted mystery and kept me entertained I rated it 4 stars.

Always entertaining

I can't wait to follow Hailey on her new adventures. I love this series so much. It always makes me laugh out loud. The characters are so realistic.
