Doctor Robinson O’Reilly is burned out. Exhausted, jaded, and disillusioned with the bureaucracy of his profession, he’s ready to throw away his entire career. Convinced to take a part-time position in a small town instead, he packs his medical bag for Hartbridge, Montana.

Firefighter Captain Soren De Silva moved to Hartbridge two years ago. He loves the town, the people, his job. What he doesn’t like is the lack of queer men. Well, the lack of available queer men. There are a few queer couples in town whom Soren can only look at with envy.

He wants what they have.

There’s a new doctor in town; not Soren’s usual type, but there’s something about him that Soren can’t ignore. A friendship sparks between them, and Soren can’t help but wonder if that Hartbridge Christmas magic the others joke about is real.

Because a spark leads to flames, and this is not a fire Soren wants to extinguish.

Great Listen!

Likely the best listen from Walker yet! Overall heartwarming romantic story. Loved the setting in a small mountainous town. Will seek out more from this author.

This is my favorite!

I really love this series, but this one is my favorite! I’m also going to need several more books to continue with all these characters! I love their back stories and their personalities and the way their lives intertwine through each book. They’re all very oooey goooey queer romance at its finest 🖤

The 4 star for overall is because of the editing. There were several spots that repeated throughout the books. Otherwise it was all 5 star for me! I love the writing and the narration!

Christmas Cupid strikes again

I just love this whole series. The Christmas setting, the town that seems to exist outside of time like Shangri-la, and especially the group of friends. That especially is something the MC, a burned-out doctor from Seattle, had been missing. He was so busy struggling with his job that he wasn’t taking care of his own needs. I wish I could find a job that let me work just 3 days a week!

The narration is good, but the deep voice for the firefighter comes across as a little cheesy at times. Soren is also too golden retriever for my taste. Still, this is relaxing to listen to. (Apart from the spicy scenes.)

Heart Bridge is always a delight to visit.

Glenn is getting better at American accents! I detected a new jersey accent for one of the side characters - I liked it, nice change from the book

Hallmark Movie Book style

I enjoyed the detailed description of the town. The funny romantic comedy aspect of it. Sometimes you just need an easy no angst read. it's a simple but great book.
