A series of shocking incidents brings the outside world crashing down on her backward village, exposing long-buried family secrets and setting Haddie on a collision course with an unstable firebrand who will have to silence her to protect his identity.

Deed So is a novel in the tradition of To Kill a Mockingbird, laying bare the issues that marked the Sixties as a turning point in American History.

Great story, super fast narrator

I thought the story was great! Race relations in the 1960's through the eyes of a middle school-aged girl.

The main narration was done by a lady, but all of the male parts were read by a guy...that was kinda cool. However, the lady read very fast (in my opinion) and there were not really any pauses between the end of the last sentence of a chapter and the beginning of the next chapter.

So, I recommend the story, but make sure you listen to the sample of the narrator to hear the book speed before you use your credit.
