The Olympics are in full swing and new, matter-transmitting technology has made it a record attended event. In the process a new, extremely contagious virus is created that quickly begins to destroy the human race and the civilizations that have been created. Drug lords take over the world's governments and control the drugs that combat the pain.

A cure is discovered in a small town in Colorado, but the syndicate that would control it wants it. The town comes under attack and must defend itself in anyway it can. Will they survive under the onslaught of what they believe is their own government? What follows proves out the Amendment in the Bill of Rights that allows them to bear arms.
