After the roller coaster ride of "Rogue Wave", David Berens & Theo Holland once again deliver a fast paced thriller. I enjoyed the characters as written by Berens & voiced by Holland (especially Natasha).

I look forward to their next collaboration.

Well good ol' Troy has done it again but this time he brought his brother with him. It all starts with a pretty girl (doesn't it always?) and a little trip by motor boat to check out what appeared to be an old ship wreck in the lovely blue water just deep enough to need scuba gear. Well shortly thereafter begins the murder, mayhem, drug running (with CIA permission???), a little spying on the side, and let us not forget kidnapping and theft too. Troy just keeps the story hoping and you never lose interest.

I enjoyed the further antics of Troy and liked meeting Megan and RB. The 'real' ship wreck and the history around it definitely was not something I figured out in my own.

The story was interesting and the mystery was well done. I look forward to more in the series.

This book was provided to me for free from the author and this is my truthful review.

I was really looking forward to book two in the life of Troy Bodean and I was not disappointed. Deep Wave has Troy leaving the beach bum life and flying a seaplane for his brother’s tourist company in Key West. When he discovers a treasure from the air, his troubles really begin because he is not the only one that wants whats under the waves. David Berens can write a story that will hold your interest to the very end and leave you wanting more. Theo Holland does another great job with his narration.

Speaking of more, I was disappointed to find out that the audiobook versions of the next three Troy Bodean adventures; Blood Wave, Dark Wave and Skull Wave are not available yet. David please make these audiobooks available with Theo Holland doing the narration of course.

Troy Bodean is a likeable veteran of the Afghanistan war dealing with PTSD, but not very well. Troy’s life-style after returning to the US and retiring from the service is that of a “beach bum” who spends most of his time drinking too much or recovering from drinking too much. He also has “wanderlust” which keeps him from staying in one place for very long. However, he does know the difference between right and wrong and seems to become embroiled in situations wherever he goes that require him to save various “damsels in destress” while righting obvious wrongs around him.

The books are enjoyable and I highly recommend reading them in order of publication since Troy’s life is serialized in the books.
