In this diary, the author has penned the various experiences of the people she met during her visit to Croatia. The main theme of this diary is the situation of the citizens, especially women, displaced from the disintegration of the country after the war and clashes in the United Yugoslavia of Eastern Europe in the '90s. The diary talks about if and how women deal with the aftereffects of physical and mental abuse. This is the first true account of the fragmentation of Yugoslavia in Hindi.

Garima Srivastava is professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University's Indian Languages Center. She has published over 22 books and several research papers.
