Don’t let the horses on the cover, fool you. I don’t understand this. “series.” As a reader, it’s not clear to me how old these girls are. Sometimes they are written as 15, but sometimes it seems like they’re written as 18. The editing is missing some critical details, which make things entertaining at the very least. But this series is nothing more than teenage angst set in a barn. There’s no bonding with horses. There’s no competition, or development of horse and rider teams. None of the stuff that makes a good horse story. And for the record, if a horse is a hunter, and competes over fences in the hunter division, it’s not a hunter/jumper. It’s a hunter. Oye.
