Teammates reunite to give love another shot in the third installment of KD Casey's riveting Unwritten Rules series.

Jake Fischer has been here before: pitching for the Oakland Elephants, hiding his worries behind a smile, hoping to win it all. Ten years ago, it didn't turn out the way he wanted. Nothing in his life did. But now he's back—and so is the one teammate tied inexorably to his past.

It doesn't matter how many times catcher Alex Angelides replays that moment during the Fall Classic over in his mind, the outcome never changes. He's not sure what happened to make that pitch glance off his glove, or what happened with his relationship with Jake—and he's not going to be the one to ask.

A whole lot may have changed in the last decade, but some things have stayed the same. Jake and Alex still can't stay out of each other's faces on the field, or out of each other's beds off of it. They've got a second chance to win it all . . . but only if they realize what they lost.

Great story. PSA: bottoms aren’t so weird about boners. That’s a heterosexual thing or a top thing.

Great story.

This book is beautifully written and has so much emotional honesty. It’s the gold standard for sports romance and an all time favorite. I honestly don’t know how KD Casey wrote this. I don’t want to discourage anyone from experiencing this story because it’s so good, but the narrator lacks the emotional subtly that the story deserves. It’s 100% a loud radio commercial announcer voice and he seems oblivious to what is actually happening in the story at all times. I’d say read it yourself, instead of listen to this guy shout at you for hours, but whatever you do, don’t miss out on this story.

Brilliant book, but narrator reads in ALL CAPS

KS Casey is such a careful, precise writer—sometimes a sentence or two will stop me in my tracks, and then days later I’ll find myself remembering it again. I really love this series and am so glad to have this final book in audio. Cendese is one of my favorite narrators, and although at first I wasn’t sure his style fit this book (he’s typically a little more breezy and snarky than I feel the MCs in this book are), I changed my mind fairly early on. Five stars all around.

Stunning ending to a fabulous series
