Die Pontypandy Pfadfinder wollen das Floßbau-Abzeichen erwerben. Während Norman einfach drauflos basteln möchte, hat James Angst, dass das schief geht und sie das Abzeichen am Ende nicht bekommen. Also besteht James darauf, mit seinem Tablet einen korrekten Floß-Bauplan zu suchen. Doch das Gerät muss zuerst geladen werden. Obwohl Sarah ihn warnt, benutzt James einen Zusatzakku mit kaputtem Kabel. Das kann nicht gut gehen.
