This story had a unique and slightly quirky premise. The plot centers on the male and female characters that Gracie—an angel dog with a mission—is trying to bring together. While the idea was interesting, the execution didn’t quite come together for me. It took a long time for the two main characters to even meet face to face, which made the pacing feel a bit scattered.

There was also a heavy focus on the friendship between the two male characters. I understand their bond was important, but it was mentioned so often that it sometimes felt like that was the real story rather than the romance. I also found myself wishing there had been more involvement from Gracie, since her role was such a fun concept.

By the end, I was a bit confused about how everything wrapped up—though it’s possible I had disconnected from the story by that point and missed something. The narration had a distinct tone that didn’t completely click for me, though that is a personal preference. Overall, this story just didn’t fully work for me and felt like it could have used more polish to bring everything together
