If you were big and ugly, had a ton of sharp teeth, and a truly enormous appetite, you wouldn't need the "magic word" either! These stories for kids, from acclaimed storytelling songster Bill Harley, center around the theme of being small. Included are "Dinosaurs Never Say Please," about a Tyrannosaurus and "Master of All Masters," a traditional story Harley found in a book by one of his heroes, Joseph Jacobs. These selections are two of Harley's favorites for kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade - but you'll find them delightful at any age.©1987 by Bill Harley and Round River Records (P)1987 Round River Records; 16 9 Literature & Fiction Dinosaurs Fiction Animal Fiction Entertainment Animals & Nature Animals

My granddaughters loved this book. They travel with their parents often to see their other grandparents and take the audiobooks I get them to listen while they are in the car. The parents love the books too!

Delightful story!

Our 4 and 6 year old boys loved this book. A great addition when driving somewhere - and as they are in a 'dinosaur' phase, the concept of turning into a trex resonates well. He is a great story teller, try 'Battle of the Mad Scientist' also - another great book.
The only thing that we did not like was that the little boy kept saying that he 'hated' things. We have taught our boys that saying 'hate' is a strong word - to be avoided. Other than that - an amazing book.

A great book

Excellent story, but scary for young children

We think this is a great story. We loved listening to the story on the computer and imagining in our minds what was being told to us. We really enjoyed the sound effects and excitement Mr. Harley used in his voice while telling the story. We also think that Jimmy learned a great lesson. Life as a dinosaur wasn't so great after all, saying Please and being polite is the right way to be.

Mrs Jones 1st grade class loved it!

I like these stories. But if you, like us prefer our kids do not say the word "Hate" then look out! It is dused A LOT in this book!
