Rookie Cop Dave Stewart knew that William Bailey was guilty of murder. All he had to do to convict him was change one line in his statement.

Detective Chief Superintendent John McCauley loves dirt. He collects it in secret files to use against his enemies, and since Stewart slept with the beautiful Detective Sergeant Anne Wallace, he is the enemy. Stewart hatches a plan to destroy the evidence against him, but inside McCauley's files is evidence of a vile paedophile ring operating under the Chief's nose. Now three people are dead, and Dave Stewart is the prime suspect.

Really exciting

love it.. it was heàrt pounding and I would recommend it añyone looking for a good read

Excellent Story and Narration

Fast paced with lots of sub plots. As an American, I loved hearing the British jargon and quips. You aren’t in deep doo doo, you are about to “sink into the smelly liquid” lol. A lot of fun and hard to put down.

I could not put this book down. When the phone rang I ignored it. Jonathan Keeble is a genius when it comes to narration and accents. Can't wait for the next one.

Great balance, holds your attention.

Enjoyed it immediately and throughout. Worth the listen. Narration sounds authentic and compelling.
