It seems like a solid plan…
- Get hitched, Vegas-style.
- Lose each other’s numbers, permanently.
- Avoid pitfalls of real marriage forever.
Until I sober up, and my wife is already gone.
It’s what we agreed to. But I don’t like it.
A year later, I find her. I have another solid plan to undo our mistake.
Only now, I’m not so sure the cocktail napkin with our prenup can protect me from the one thing I swore I wouldn’t do…fall in love.

Let me say that I’m a huge fan of Mira Lyn Kelly’s slayer’s series, but I did have a couple of issues that, to me, took away some stars. I absolutely loved the characters (of course with the exception of Ray and Jess). Even the supporting characters were great, but I got a little confused with some of the details. Where were they when he chased her a year later, and what was going on with the sister and friend at that meeting? If it had not been explained later that his situation with Jess was right before he met Stormy, I would have thought it happened after they initially met in Vegas or happened twice. A few places just felt like info was missing. Also, this is a personal preference thing; but as much as I do enjoy the fake marriage story, I’m not a fan of the miscommunication twist when they just don’t want to admit they’re in love out of fear of losing the one they love. I don’t know if it’s just my age, but really? Are you better off not telling your feelings and losing your love, or taking a chance on telling them you love them and hopefully they love you too? That’s unnecessary angst to me. Finally, I am a massive Savanah Peachwood fan! This was my first Wayne Mitchell experience (that I’m aware of). Although he has a fantastic male voice and great expression, his female voice is cringy.
