Ryan amazing as always

Great book I love Ryan’s work, have listened to all and this is his best in my opinion!

As always Ryan never disappoints 👌🏻

Personally Ryan’s perspective always resonate. A bit of repetitions from previous books here and there. This book provoked a lot of introspection.

From Ryan there are always those nuggets of pure gold this book is no different

So much to learn, and all useful!

Ryan is fastidious in his writing and as with previous books, has managed to tell, teach and inspire us to incorporate many stoic ideas, values and virtues.
While we know we will never be stoic sages, we can arm ourselves with powerful stoic practices which make us better... all changes everyday, big results in a lifetime.

These are the values I live by but wait... There's More?!

I have already read, 'Trust me, I'm lying: Confessions of a Media Manipulator" then onto "The Obstacle is the Way." Now I find myself reading, "Discipline is Destiny," where the latter two perfectly bridge Stoicism into the modern day world.

Throughout my life, I have always had a steadfast list of values and principles that can't be bought, bribed or broken no matter what. After reading this novel "Discipline is Destiny," It would appear after all this time that my values and do forth come from the ideal of Stoicism. However, it has definitely opened my eyes to more and all the characters that I can now research or look into.

By a serendipitous moment, I found his work via a podcast that had nothing to do with him except this first book (In into marketing and so forth) that I found Ryan in the first place.

Ryan Holliday is definitely a brilliant writer, no doubt about it and I'm so glad he has stocked the fire of stoicism into me because I not only resonate with this but live this (without knowing) also. and extractor of stoicism throughout history. I'm really looking forward to reading the many other books he has on stoicism without a doubt.

This and many of his other books are philosophical in nature worth pondering but the reality digs deeper. It is a blueprint.

Humans throughout the centuries have lived and breathed this philosophy and it in all honesty should be practised today.

These books are coming to me at the right time, right place and right moment. Do yourself a favour and invest in you. By becoming a better version of yourself, you in turn a creating and inspiring a better world for others.

Thanks Ryan, your family and all else that made this audio book happen. I can't wait until I read the next one and/or utilise his many resources to find books just as good or hear it on from the angle of a first person that lived in this world centuries ago.

stoicism made palatable

liked the content, easy to follow, great and clear "lessons/examples" to apply. the audio editing is a bit irritating, so many words are cut, especially the first word of each chapter heading, and some in the narrative too.
