In Matthew 24:4-5, Jesus Christ warned His disciples to not be deceived, For many will come in My name saying I am the Christ. In this volume, the author examines both ancient and modern heresies that fit this warning that Jesus gave. He also demonstrates how modern archaeology has undermined the higher critics of the 19th and 20th centuries who claimed that very little could be known about the Jesus of history. In making this argument he demolishes the false dichotomy that was created between the Christ of faith and the Jesus of history. Finally, he demonstrates why the biblical accounts of Jesus are the most trustworthy accounts at our disposal and he shows what these accounts say about the deity, humanity, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
