The secrets of Nicaragua were kept hidden for decades. The first ruin discovered brought puzzlement with no agreement. It would take a pair of serious, curious explorers to make sense of it.
Then, they get wind of something even more intriguing, and it is a long hike into nowhere to find it. If they can find it.
And all this time, Volcano Row, only partly extinct, requires the same over-the-shoulder watch as if looking for bandits or Indio. Life is cheap in the mid-twentieth century, true for most explorers of that era.
