His move to Vancouver was for a fresh start. They were only supposed to be friends. One night changed everything and now there is no turning back.

Lucy

When I first laid eyes on Dr. Chance Devereaux, he was 6'5" of panty-melting hotness, clad in black leather in my father's pub. I was convinced he was in the mob, especially with that tantalizing French accent of his. Imagine my surprise when I discovered he was actually the new chief of the emergency department at Mercy Hospital. New to Vancouver, Chance needs a tour guide, and who is better than me? He may be fresh from a breakup, but I can totally keep my libido in check. Promise! But the way he connects with my class of grade 5s only makes him more irresistible.

Chance

Lucy caught my eye from the moment I saw her, with her stunning auburn hair and captivating curves. To say she wasn't friendly would be an understatement. My new job at Mercy Hospital comes with a mountain of challenges, and my boss is a stickler for rules. I need to stay focused. My ex-girlfriend decided to stay in Montreal at the last minute, and I know I should be pining over her, but Lucy is the perfect distraction. We're just friends. If only I could convince my hormones of that.

Doctor Rebel is the third book in the Mercy Medical Emergency series. Each book can be listened to as a standalone.

I like the stories of this series, and the male narrator. However, I’m not a fan of the female narrator in the series. Her voice is whiny, no matter what she’s narrating, so makes it difficult to listen to. If I had time I would probably really enjoy reading them vs audiobook
