Some terrific performers--Charles Boyer, Cedric Hardwicke, and Charles Laughton--with wonderful voices, take on Shaw's selfish, meandering discussion of the primacy of the "life force" over love, art, and any other human consideration. A witty, but generally weak play (actually a lengthy subpart of "Man and Superman"), this is still well worth a listen, with such charming actors working on all cylinders. I recommend that you listen for the vocal entertainment and wit but don't worry too much about the flimsy arguments.

Great performances, mediocre Shaw.
