Strong start, lost me towards the end.

Great narrator. Strong start and engaging plot but it fell flat towards the end where you’d expect a climax, It was a bit underwhelming. In the middle where more characters were introduced the nicknames and names were hard to keep up with and Nicole’s character was underdeveloped. I didn’t have enough of a connection with this character and wish they would’ve made her more interesting it would’ve given a stronger ending. Also the last 4 chapters dragged on for no good reason. 3 star plot.

Talk about a plot twist

The narrator was fabulous! She kept the story engaging and unpredictable. The writing did this as well. Just when I thought I figured everything out, there was another plot twist.

How each family member handled their grief.

The story line kept me on the edge of my seat. Could not wait to read the next chapter!

Kept me guessing

I didn't find the narrative difficult as others have. I enjoyed the twists and turns. The emotional toll on relationships and knowing how much words and tones hurt make this a very emotional piece. If anything, those emotional parts could have been drawn out a bit more.

Enjoyed the story, characters didn’t grab me

Felt like I lacked a connection to the characters. There was a disconnect for me.
