The look on his face was priceless. Obviously, I was the first to turn him down.

Don’t get me wrong. Lyle was sex on a stick.
The color of his eyes was mesmerizing.
But I wasn’t taking any of his… handouts.

Why?

I was a curvy single mom alone in the world. Sure, I could use the help.
But Lyle was a reclusive billionaire dragon shifter with a complicated life.
He wanted a child of his own with no strings attached.
Oh, and he needed a surrogate.
He had noticed how dedicated I was to my son.
So who did he pick to carry his baby? Me!
Okay, maybe, I should reconsider his offer to help.
My dream of owning my own business could come true.
He promised our arrangement would be professional.
But that sounded too good to be true…
Lyle was demanding and overprotective.
As for me, I was all about being an independent single mom.
But when put to the test… Lyle protected us from evil.
Undeniably, there was an electrifying supernatural attraction between us.

Now that I understand what it means to fall in love with your fated mate,
Is it possible to be more than just a surrogate for his baby?

I enjoyed the story, however it was difficult to follow as the narrator was the same for all characters. There was no attempt to identify as male/female

This book is just okay. I'm glad that it was included in the plus catalog because I would have been pretty unhappy if I had spent a credit on it. The writing is mediocre. The narration is abysmal. I actually question whether this book was written by a real person of if "Sheena Silva" is actually an AI. The story is a bit choppy in places. There was great potential in the writing and could have been much better had it been developed more deeply. The Virtual Voice narration was extremely difficult to follow, as there was no tone changes for the various scenes. It was also difficult to follow "who" was speaking. When you have a real person narrating they tend to change intonations and provide changes to their voice for the different characters. I seriously hope the Virtual voice feature does not take over audio books. Overall, if this book is free, and you have nothing else to listen to, go for it. Otherwise, save your time and find a book with a real person narrating.
