Dragon and Mr. Sneeze: Charli's Story

Charli really isn’t sure what to make of the suggestion that she could be a witch. It’s true she’s always been able to see ghosts, including most recently the ghost of her mother, but lots of people see and do things they can’t explain, right? Well, not in the way she can, it turns out.

Firmly rooted in trailer park culture, Charli’s life revolves around the daily activities of inhabitants of The Horseshoe. The shoreline, the local shop, and the wild nature of Momma Nay’s cabin are where she and her best friend, Dotty, do all their growing up. But everything is about to change.

Charli is about to find herself in the ‘Plaza of Giants’, in the shadow of the notorious Sky Builder’s Guild school for witches. While Dotty, on the other hand, is about to find herself with deteriorating health in St Judes; a hospital for magic folk.

Armed with a growing awareness of her magical powers, and a copy of The Gravedigger’s Handbook, which is filled to the brim with exciting spells, Charli has a real shot at getting a genuine witch’s licence. But to do that, she would have to ignore the fact that Dotty’s illness is transforming her from lovable friend, into a dangerous monstrosity.

And that’s not the only problem. Threatened by the magic that lies within Charli, dark forces are gathering in a bid to stop her solving the mystery of who she truly is, and what message it is that the ghost of her mother is trying to send her. Charli has some tough decisions to make in order protect both and Dotty and herself, from the storm that’s about to unleash itself.
