Dakota, a meteorologist with a sharp tongue and a sense of humour as dark as her own luck, never expected that accepting a secret government project would leave her stranded in the mountains of an alien planet, separated from her mission companions. Not even in her worst nightmares would she have prophesied that her luck could be even worse, landing her in the hands of an injured dragon who looked at her as if she were a delicious steak to be devoured by his enormous teeth.

Worst of all was that the idea didn't displease her too much, especially when she discovered that the enormous mythological being not only had the ability to transform into a giant and dangerous beast, but was also a man who insisted on mistaking her for a mermaid and thought only of subduing her. She would never submit, but she wouldn't object to a bit of fooling around with that pagan god who sent all her hormones into overdrive.

Drakon had spent centuries protecting his kingdom without allowing anyone to get too close to him. He patiently waited for the female with whom he would share his soul bond to appear in his life. He imagined her powerful, strong, lethal, and a worthy princess to rule by his side. What he never expected was that a small, weak female, dressed in strange garments and with a very sharp tongue, would slip into his home and he would find himself unable - and unwilling - to part from her.

Of all the females the spirit of Vyrdane could have sent him as his life companion, it chose this woman whom his people would reject and who promised only trouble, but the moment he looked into her eyes, he knew that, regardless of the differences between them, he would keep her.

Can Dakota resist the dragon's love, especially when he's willing to risk everything to claim her as his own? Will they survive the reality check when truths come to light, or will they decide they come from different worlds and separate forever?

loved it !!! but just so u know... even with the 2 point of view a couple of the chapters are out of order or doubled .

Assumptions Galore DNF

Should've believed the reviews. These people are so stupid, making assumptions left and right and not voicing corrections when they realize the other thinks the wrong thing. I did not mind the virtual voice as badly as some others, but it's obviously still virtual. I can't complain enough without spoiling the first couple of hours, but I lost too many brain cells to continue listening past that, hoping it would start making sense

I must have missed something at the beginning. I realize a supply ship didn't arrive, but this company really sent people to another planet without the means to provide food for themselves? Or are they just so inept that they ruined their resources? That's entirely possible, given that EVERYONE went out together to investigate an anomaly.

She's supposed to be a scientist, but when she realizes the dragon shape shifts, she doesn't realize that means the mermaids he's been likening her to are probably also real. He introduces her to his parents - royalty - and she thinks it's smart to expound on that misconception. She's not even smart enough not to jump out into deep water when she's obviously a weaker swimmer than my toddler, and he's enough of an idiot as to think her drowning flails were a mating dance.

Not very interesting

The female lead is an idiot. She's supposed to be a scientist but the most idiotic things spout from her mouth completely confusing the male lead. I find the premise promising but the characters completely turned me off the story. I didn't even make it through half the book before I gave up in disgust. The virtual voice they chose was a little grating as well leading towards the irritation. I was really hopeful for this book when I read the blurb but sadly it's going to be one of the few that I don't complete.
