In the story books, a hero gets their time in the spotlight. They are thrown parades, showered with prestige, and adored by all. Samuel Gale, Hero of Cortendale and Guardian of the Wind thought he would gain such notoriety when entering his kingdom’s capitol. What he got was hand irons and a dose of reality. Real paragons of the people warrant suspicion from those in power, altruistic ideals are questioned, and he finds that the world cannot be changed on goodwill alone. Sam is about to enter a place that is altogether foreign inside the walls of this city. Problems aren’t so clear here, enemies not as overt. Will Sam’s ideals be able to survive his time in such a morally ambiguous place? He must take care not to drown while visiting the city in the center of a sea....
