Although the first few chapters were steeped in the canon of scripture, the teachings of the early apostles, and the practices of the early New Testament church in the first century, the last half of this book is determined to use every means necessary, even referring to other non-canonized books and teachings, to defend the current and modern Stances of the Roman Catholic Church. It is a worthy historical account, and brief overview of the first four centuries of Christian them, but on a hole, it fall short and giving honest representation of that. By pulling out sometimes erroneous sayings and doctrines of early church fathers to support the Roman church.
