Thought provoking ending to a wonderful series

Scott Brick'snarraton is perfect for Michael C. Grumley's BREAKTHROUGH series. I can only think of the word Renaissance to categorize this and the other novels I this series. The main characters are likable and developed. The novels contain a wealth of historical knowledge and a hope for humankind to evolve and coexist with nature and other species. There is also the possibility of there being other life forms in the universe. I also loved his sense of spirituality woven in the novels. Best series to which I've listened. Couldn't stop listening, yet sad to finish.

As always a superb book!

I love Michael's writing! As always there is just the right amount of science, Sci-fi, technology and mysticism to keep you on your toes for what us possible now and what may be in the near future.
In addition, his characters have real relationships that are rich and varied. ECHO is another great novel excellently written and the audiobook is superbly performed by Scott Brick. My only disappointment was that Dulce and Dexter didn't have bigger story lines in this book!

Great series

Just finished the last book of the Breakthrough series and wished there were more books in the series. I got so involved with the characters and was on the edge of my seat with all the books!!! More..more…

Really enjoyed story

I liked checking in each day to see what was happening next with the very likable characters that remind me of the 80's .

A Terrific Conclusion to the Series

With the search for the Lost Ark, this book reminds me of some of James Rollins' books. The characters are well written and the story flows at a rapid pace. I was a little surprised at how little DeeAnn Draper and her apes, Dulce and Dexter, were included in this book but I thought there was plenty of action without them. I like the whole concept of this series involving humans learning to communicate with other species and thought it was really well handled. I have to admit that I am sorry to see this series end (at least I assume this was the end) but look forward to other books from this author.
One negative comment: I feel like the narrator, Scott Brick, a very experienced narrator, was far too emotionally "over the top" in his narration. At times I felt like I was listening to a soap opera rather than an action novel.
