A thoughtful read that sneaks up to you

This wasn’t loud sci fi, and that’s why I liked it. It focused more on people and consequences than flashy moments. I found myself caring about how choices affected everyone, not just the main situation. Some scenes felt uncomfortably realistic, which made it more engaging. I liked how things didn’t resolve perfectly. It felt honest. I read it during breaks and ended up stretching those breaks longer than planned.

Very unexpected

What surprised me most was how personal this story felt. The technology side was interesting, but the reactions and emotions were what kept me reading. It showed fear, hope, and responsibility in a way that felt believable. I liked that it didn’t treat the town as background noise. Everyone mattered. There were parts that felt a little unsettling, but in a good way. I finished it feeling thoughtful, not rushed, and glad I gave it a chance.

Not your usual small-town story.

I picked this up thinking it’d be a slow sci-fi read, but it pulled me in fast. I liked how it mixed everyday town life with big ethical questions without feeling preachy. The tech stuff felt believable, and the emotional parts actually landed for me, especially how people reacted instead of panicking right away. It made me stop and think about responsibility and trust. I read it mostly at night and found myself wanting “one more chapter” way too often.
