We thought we’d won, and got rid of it, but it too is a survivor. And in the end, all we did was kill ourselves. No one knows where it came from. But come it did. We think it’s intelligent, but not in the way we think of intelligence, this thing has an evil malevolence about it. It’s cruel; it toys with its prey. I came face to face with it once and survived. As I peered into it, I saw no soul, no compassion, nothing, I only saw its blinding desire to extinguish my life. My name is Adam, I am one of the last of us, all that remains.
