Alexander Cleave, actor, has left his career and his family behind and banished himself to his childhood home. Well cast narrator and lush writing

Bill Wallis gives an entertaining and fully considered narrative performance; he was cast well. This audible will enhance one’s appreciation of Banville’s fine novel whether one is listening to the recording alone or concurrently while reading the novel (which I find helpful and entertaining). This is a poignant story. Banville’s style is contemplative, brooding. The writing is lush and regal.
