Suzanne Dietz, co-owner of the Cackleberry Club Café, is visiting her fiancé, Dr. Sam Hazelet, when a masked gunman bursts into the emergency room. He shoots two people and would probably have done more damage had Suzanne not brained him with a thermos full of chili. Still, the gunman manages to escape. Now the ladies of the Cackleberry Club are determined to find the killer before he finds them.

Farfetched

The protagonist getting involved seems too contrived. Narrator's voices was annoying, especially her rendition of the Petra character.

Love a good mystery, i did not see that coming!

The voices were well done. I love Toni! She's a fun one! So many suspects too!

Not worth reading

I have always enjoyed Laura child’s books this, however, is the most ridiculous book average it’s wasted my time. Her characters are now no longer restaurant owners. They are climbing on trash, bins, climbing and wheelbarrows. Anything they can to find out what’s going on if you got the main Chris story, was there a restaurant in a little bit of PSY detective work now there’s a main detective she might as will fire the police department anybody else involved because he’s ladies do everything. What a waste of time to read it was not exciting. I do not recommend this book to anybody because anybody with half a brain gonna read it and see how ridiculous these characters are. Sorry, she usually rides good stories his phone was a waste of time.
