These wonderfully funny short stories feature a cast of outrageous characters, all plotting to save themselves from wedlock, poverty, or ignominy - with various degrees of success. This recording includes the following stories: "All's Well with Bingo", "Bingo and the Peke Crisis", "The Editor Regrets", "Sonny Boy", "Anselm Gets His Chance", "Romance at Droitgate Spa", "A Bit of Luck for Mabel", "Buttercup Day", and "Ukridge and the Old Stepper".

Way too old. You can hear the mouthful of old man dental work and saliva sloshing around in his pronunciations.

I also take issue with the latitude taken to assign a speech impediment (understandably more prevalent in Britain because like dentistry, speech pathology isn’t a thing) to the main character, Bingo Little. While clever in theory, it grew... VERY annoying. Very. Fast.

Or shall I say “Vewy. Fast.”

Another charming and hilarious series of vignettes from my favorite comedic duo. If you loved Wooster and Jeeves, you’ll be pleased to find more new friends in this volume.

Wodehouse + Cecil = 5 Stars

Laughed out loud several times. Not my favorite of his works, rather short on overall story, but fantastically comical characters

Brilliant LOL Inducing

Mr. Cecil is one of my favorite narrators, and I’ve listened to many. I know many experienced and well educated listeners will agree with me that his talent is difficult to match.

One of my favorite narrators!

Skinning cats and sell the furs? I had to skip the entire chapter as soon as it came to my ear space. Otherwise funny and delicious as usual. Excellent performance by Jonathan Cecil.

Some disgusting stories. Otherwise excellent
