In a frightening incident, Elsie's husband, Edward Travilla, narrowly survives an accidental shooting when friends tease son Edward, Jr. into firing a loaded pistol. The shot grazes Edward's head, and he survives with only minor damage. Soon life in the Travilla household returns to its calm routine. In the meantime, Elsie welcomes a cousin from Scotland who brings a very special talent with him as well as news of her mother's ancestral family.

Elsie and Edward take great delight in their burgeoning family. Wonderful! I dearly love Elsie's Books!

I think Elsie's books should be in the home of every Christian mother with girls. Personally, I'm in my 20's and I love to read them! The narrators voice was an enjoyable and comforting one. She reads excellently with many different voices.

Ohhhh myyyy goshhhh!!!! This book is amazing!! I love the Elsie books, and this narrative is wonderful. I have nothing bad to say about the narrator or the story line or anything for that matter! I highly recommend!!
