Earth, a mere spot in design of the universe, was gone. It was tragic, but it was inevitable. Thank God so many got out before it happened. The powers that be hunted fiercely for anything remotely earth-like, something they could actually reach. Elysium I, one of four lookalike planets, orbiting a close blue dwarf, soon held a million people. And, of course, when that many people crowd a small planet, you can expect all the negatives to surface... If they are not careful, Elysium I might not be a haven, after all. An unlikely pairing has our heroes working feverishly to solve the problems. It has been done before, but not at the extreme risk of loss, with nowhere else to run...
