Lathah has fallen. Arrin leads a weary group of survivors from the ruins. He presses on in search of O'hra to take the fight to the Grol, but as he nears the Sha'ree homeland, an unexpected adversary bars the way. With enemies massing on all sides, Arrin is forced to take his search deep inside the Funeral Sands. The survivors suffer the terrors of the desert as their lives and hopes dwindle by the moment. As the losses mount, Arrin wonders if the price of saving Ahreele might be more than he can bear.

I love to read in series. But each book should be a story in and of itself. This book feels like someone chopped the actual book into multiple parts and unfortunately this is that middle bit that is left. No real beginning, no real ending, just a lot of struggle.

Nothing really happens

Only listened because it was included in my membership; the narration keeps me from purchasing the 3rd book.

Terrible narration

This book differs on differs a lot from the 1st because because there's no main character and the addition of Many other prominent characters you Kind of lose focus Good performance just got lost with the story couldn't wait for the book to end. Fine for a freebee.

Probably good for Teenagers

These books are not one trilogy, just one book cut into three in climactic locations. None of them constitutes a whole.
With that said, the second book is extremely confusing because there is no character introductions or reintroduction. Unlike the first book that wasted more than half the book to cast of characters this one just ploughs on and ruthlessly jumps from character to character in the already confusing storyline.

Not a trilogy
