Young magician Gwyn and his friend Nia have been warned to stay away from Emlyn Llewelyn, the strange boy who claims his mother lives in the moon. And yet, a mysterious magic continues to draw them to him. But why? The answer lies in a spider's web, an ice-cold flower's glow, and the haunting whispers of children from someplace far away. It's up to Gwyn and Nia to solve the mystery with the hlep of Arianwen, the Snow Spider.©2006 Jenny Nimmo. First published in 1986 in Great Britain by Egmont Books Ltd. All rights reserved. Editorial reviews

John Keating gives a terrific performance of Jenny Nimmo’s novel Emlyn's Moon, the second book in the Magician Trilogy. His even voice and subtle delivery enhance the fantastical elements of this audiobook. Gwyn, a young magician, and his friend Nia are forbidden from spending time with the mysterious Emlyn Llewelyn, but the pair is inexplicably drawn to the boy. With the help of a snow spider called Arianwen, Gwyn and Nia discover the truth about the boy who thinks his mother resides upon the moon.

This story was interesting. Nia was sweet and her dressing up in her mom's old clothes was cute. Her middle child status was relatable and Nia's need to be something special is how all of us feel at times.

Excellent
