She tries to get a handle on her overload of work, while she finds herself arguing with dinner guests, chaffing at the sudden interest the earl's son has in running the estate, and missing her new beau, Michael Sedgwick.

Her life goes from bad to sinister when Julia discovers poisoned sparrowhawks on the expansive estate grounds. And soon after, she finds one of the Hall's visitors murdered - felled by the same poison. While simultaneously both spooked and angry, she still can't keep herself from snooping, and dragging Michael along into her investigation. But will she find the culprit before her own wings are clipped?

Good mystery

This is a great cozy mystery with romance and and A good performance by the narrator.

Another great title in the series

Love the characters, scenery, food, birds… and murder! Another great title in the series. I look forward to Book #3 next.

Interesting Characters

Pretty Good. I wasn't sure at first, thinking the plot would be something other than what it is. The Estate owner's son comes home to stay to learn the family business. Will he want to boss Julia around? This is Book 2 of the series. I will move on to the next book.

Engaging

Enjoyed another in the series. Good characters and realistic human characteristics. Well layed out story line not giving the killer away, and tossing in a few red herrings.

Learning about ornithology whilst driving -always a good idea!

Easy reading and lovely narration. Love learning about new topics whilst driving and vacationing with friends!
