Myra Hedgeley was your average sixteen-year-old in the 22nd century, ready to go to college in a few months. Things seemed to be going well for her. But when she visits a dig site at Mount Kanujikon with her parents and her best friend, Phil, she is drawn into a world of chaos that she isn’t quite ready for.
Myra loses her best friend in a freak accident, and one single event triggers the onset of the biggest magical war in history, changing the course of human evolution. Myra soon finds herself at the forefront of a battle she never could have imagined, fighting Dragons along with her comrades, but if they don’t find “bigger guns” soon, they will be overwhelmed by the Dragons.
Phil is battling his own demons in a deep dark place, and everyone seems to have forgotten him. An evil spirit haunts him, torturing him to the point of submission, and possesses his body to further its own malevolent endeavors.
Now both Myra and Phil have a tough road ahead of them, full of unexpected turns and heartbreaking sacrifices.
