A mysterious letter, a surprise visit from a Navy SEAL friend, and the ambience of the Florida Keys puts novelist J. T. Springs on the road to adventure....

Paperback mystery/adventure novelist Jonathan Tyler Springer is dragged into action once again in Errol Flynn’s Treasure: Conch Republic, Volume 2. While trying to write his first serious book, a mysterious letter and an old friend draw him away from the keyboard and onto a path of adventure. Following a treasure map that leads them to the island of Jamaica, will these colorful characters of Key West be the writer’s muse for another story or his downfall, leading him to a stint in a Cuban jail cell? Life in the Florida Keys never has a dull moment.

It was a fun listen as I drove along middle America wishing I was in a Key West bar with the characters. It is a nod to the many adventurers and colorful characters we grew up with in movies but with a relatable quality to each. Some personalities within these pages can't help but attract chaos, some roll along with it with feigned reluctance, and some just dive in headfirst as a way to have a story for another day.

The author does a great job delivering a classic type story with individual flair.

The narrator (I think the same as the first book in the series) does a great job helping keep the characters as unique in the listeners mind.

I'm looking forward to number 4 in the lineup already out.
