Can country air, Aunt Jayne's love potion, and Duncan the dishy tractor driver mend Leah's broken heart?

Leah is accused of a crime she didn't commit. Dumped by Adam, the man she planned to marry, she escapes to Aunt Jayne's smallholding in the Kent village of Winkleigh Marsh. Heartbroken and homeless, she strives to clear her name and deal with her emotions.

Jayne treats Leah's unhappiness with herbal remedies, cowslip wine, and common sense in equal measure. In return, Leah works hard for the delicious home-cooked meals they share. She wrestles with sheep, breaks nails, and gets stuck in the mud - learning as much about herself as she does about farming. Soon, Leah is happy milking cows, mucking out pigs, and falling halfway in love with Duncan, a dishy tractor driver.

Back in London, steps are being taken to investigate what's happened to the missing money. It looks as though the real embezzler must soon be unmasked, and Leah will have to choose between resuming her old life or starting a new one.

That's when her problems really start.

This was my first Patsy Collins's book. This is a sweet and clean romance. The characters are great, and the storyline interesting. Clair Storey did a good job with the narration. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This story has likeable characters and it makes you root for them. It’s a clean romance with a storyline that draws you in. The narration is excellent as well with the right accent, pronoun citation and the right emotion added to the story. I loved the setting of the story as well. I recommend this to people who enjoy contemporary clean romances.

I received this title from the author in exchange of an honest review. All opinions are mine.

Leah is a city girl working as a financial analyst in London - until she is suspended and flees to her aunt in the country side, where she discovers new things to enjoy that a big city simply didn’t offer.

It is a really sweet story with lovely dialogues and the author paints a wonderful picture that gets better and better as you progress through the book.

A special shoutout to the narrator, Claire Storey. She is new-to-me and I was honestly really captivated. Her voice is wonderful and her narration is awesome. She really brings the writing to another level, especially in the dialogues as well as inner monologues. Frequently, her style reminds me of Davina Porter and she certainly lives up to it.

I’ll keep my eyes, erm, ears peeled for more of Claire’s books!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the characters and that it takes place on a farm. I especially loved Duncan because he was so sweet. I only wish that it had an epilogue because I felt like the ending was a little too abrupt and I would really like to know what happens with them in the future but it didn't bother me so much that it changed my rating. One pov and an HEA. I also liked the narrator. I'd definitely recommend.
