This is one of the best series I have ever read and I am old! lol so I have read a ton of books. Definitely start with book one but this is a series I will re-listen to until we find out what comes next. Mr. Jackson? When will we find out about what’s next!!!

Fantastic read!

The Eve of Redemption series is a compelling story with an interesting application of Christian mythology (as C.S. Lewis used the word) and a hint of sci-fi mixed in with the high fantasy aspects. Overall I found the story very enjoyable, with some very unexpected turns of events throughout.

Minor nit-picks:
There are some instances of the narrator pronouncing names differently in later books, or sometimes within the same chapter. The author overuses certain words and phrases, though I can't fault him too much for that in an eleven-volume series. Mostly, he goes out of his way to refer to characters by their descriptions rather than their names (seemingly in an effort to not use their names too much), which is helpful in keeping the reader mindful of each character's race, role, and background, but does start to grate a bit after a time. As noted, though, these are minor nit-picks and probably more a sign of my own pedantry than the author's or narrator's skill. I highly recommend giving the series a listen.

Compelling story

Excellent world building, strong female heroines and the wothy males that love them, and the underlying theme tying all together, the message our world needs to hear the most, one of open mindedness, love, faith and acceptance.

A True Fantasy

I loved the whole thing! From start to finish the descriptions allowed me to see the characters and the different worlds. Even the shallow characters had depth, and while some things became predictable along the as I got to know the characters, There were still surprises that kept me intrigued. Learning that it all came about through a D&D campaign and the author's own creations made it that much more relevant to me. And a born again author who can tell stories and weave in Christianity is amazing, too. Thank you for this series.

mainly the characters, but also the worlds.
