Everything Happens for a Reason

The only world I can control in my life is the one found in my novels and stage plays, but many of the elements, details, plots, and characters are based on or inspired by the people, places, and things in my life. After many years of traditional jobs in a variety of business entities, my goal of earning a living as a professional writer was finally attained. However, all those years of working to earn a weekly paycheck were not in vain. The work I did, with the people I met along the way, became the deep well of knowledge and inspiration that I was able to draw upon to create the body of work that I authored. While my journey to success will hopefully be a help to other writers, this book is my way of remembering and crediting the people who influenced me and became a vital part of the storylines and characters in many of my books and plays. The desire to create stories began when I was a child who spent many hours listening to the radio in my family’s apartment in the city of my birth, Chicago, Illinois.
