Good book for anyone looking to live abroad.

This book had value for me as an American interested in living abroad - not necessarily in Japan. As a narrator, Steve does a great job explaining the facts and telling how he felt about it at the same time. There was a clear timeline, from moving in to checking out, and I could hear the emotions throughout: pride, sarcasm, caution, annoyance, relief, and more.

Thanks for sharing what you learned during your 20 years living in Japan, Steve! I would recommend this book to anyone interested in living abroad. You don’t know what you don’t know, and this book could be used to create a checklist of things anyone living abroad needs to plan for or be aware of being making the leap.

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! After listening to this story,. I totally enjoyed reading this book. It’s well written and the characters were uniquely fantastic. I would suggest this book to my friends that like this sort of genera. this was a good book. The narration was great.
