Edwidge does it again!

Edwidge is my favorite author since high school. And she’s done it again with this series of short stories capturing the dynamic lives of Haitian people. Each story was as moving as the next and always tackles a larger narrative that’s perfect for discussion in a group.

I expected more female empowered stories since it was a reese pick but this fell short for me.

For those who understand mourning

Poignant, poetic and gut wrenching tales of the complexities of love and loss. Beautifully told.

I love this writer

I love this writer and have not been disappointed in her work since I first read her book Eyes, Breath, Memory. This book was no exception. I’m looking forward to reading more of her work. I have to admit that while I have a paper copy, listening to it on audiobooks made it even more enjoyable.
