In her debut book, Phyllis Grant is unflinching about life’s many transitions—life, love, birth, death, and pleasure. The book moves along at a breezy pace, almost as if you are sitting in Grant’s kitchen, having a conversation, as she prepares you a meal made with love.

Sad memoir.

A mother who has no sorrow for ending the life of her child is terribly lost. This may be her story but it’s not very uplifting.
