Basic, but practical info for business women

What made the experience of listening to Executive Presence for Women the most enjoyable?

I'm recently became CFO and part owner of a small business in a typically male industry. It is important to me to put forth the most professional image in order to be taken seriously. The author of this book has the experience and knowledge that I do not yet have and she's willing to share with people like me, who wish to learn. The information provided was very basic (it's a short book), but all working females should hear what she has to say and re-listen every once in awhile.

I laughed at some of the examples she provided to prove her points.

Yes, I would and have recommended this audiobook to friends, professional associates, and to clients. Barbara does an excellent job in providing very meaningful and realistic guidance to females in business.

Presence and especially Executive Presence is a critical and often ignored aspect of leadership development. Executive Presence is even more challenging for women in a male dominated work environment. Barbara has done just an excellent job in very effectively and yet concisely providing very important real world guidance and is very clear on needed actions to shift and develop executive presence. A business woman who uses Barbara's advice will increase her competitive advantage. I highly recommend this audiobook. I will continue to use it with my female executive coaching clients as a valuable resource.

Out of date

I am thankful for the evolution of the mentality of women in the workplace. I am an Executive. I wear bright clothes and nail polish. I have long hair. I also exude Executive Presence. This content was reflective of an old mindset that was less than favorable to uplifting women.

What a Waste

Her other books are great but this one lists 8 steps of mostly how to dress and other appearance advice. It is 45 minutes of information from two decades ago. Audible won’t let me return it. Ugh
