Enjoyable history and travel knowledge

Overall I enjoyed this history packed travel guide for lack of a better term. My only caveat is that as someone from Louisiana I feel like North Louisiana has more to give than the brief mentions in the book. Though this is very common among even the natives that the northern half of the state is second fiddle.

A nice overview

This book is certainly not a deep dive into Louisiana. But I did learn a few things and it’s nice introduction to the culture. The narrator was also very pleasant to listen to.

A quick overview of the Bayou State

As a Louisiana native, I knew most of what was in this book already, but for those less familiar, this would be a nice introduction to the unique state. It is not a deep dive but rather a nice overview of the history, culture, people and places.

I really enjoyed the narrator. His calm voice and professional delivery were a great complement to the narrative.
