Not your typical tour guide!

This is a fantastic, thorough guide to more than just great places to visit in Vermont. Having said that, the book does an excellent job of not only outlining some on and off the beaten path must see spots, it explains the why-, the mythology and the meaning of each of these amazing spots. You also get a thorough history of the state, starting with the ancient history long before colonization all the way up to modern days. This is an exceptional book that is way beyond a tour guide. The narration is done beautifully, easy to understand and spoken at the perfect pace to soak it all in. For anyone who loves Vermont, plans to visit Vermont, or just someone who wants to learn the history and spirit of a fascinating place in America, this is the book! Very impressed!
