A series you shouldn’t skip

I have come to love Michael McBride’s works, and as a native Coloradan, always get a nostalgic tickle when I recognize a state feature that I know personally. The author’s mix of science-based facts with hints of supernatural influences will keep you captivated, and that goes for all his novels.
However, for the 2nd and 3rd novels in this series, I must give vent to a certain amount of anger at the ineptness of the narrator - not only dos she repeatedly mispronounce commonly used words, but it is blindingly apparent that she does/did not read the novel before attempting to narrate and record it, and sounds incredibly robotic throughout both novels. I fail to understand why she was chosen for even one of these novels, let alone two.

Greatest trilogy of all time!!

Mr. McBride never ceases to amaze me! He puts so much research into these stories and the end result is my favorite story of all time! My favorite book has always been “Swan Song” but this blew that out of the water! Better than “The Stand” by a mile, this captures the feel of a true battle against good and evil. The characters are fleshed out and believable and it’s tough to see them go through so many trials and tribulations. Hold on to your hope, folks - it’s a bumpy ride!
