Great, interesting read

Really well thought out book; very unique and pragmatic approach to many real life situations.

Brutal at times but not in a gory or sensationalist sense; just what one would expect of real world violence, both in terms of possible attack and defense.

simple and effective

i love the no BS approach to self defense laid out by the author! I'm a small guy who's had to defend himself hundreds of times. I've studied Filipino kali martial arts, silat, and JKD for a few years, and I've found very little of what's learned in these artforms is applicable in a real fight scenario while your adrenaline sends your mind on vacation. This book has much more to do with mindset, and abandoning your preconceived notions about how the world works, and arbitrary written and unwritten rules of engagement. The words in this book are 100% true, but not for the feint of heart.
